Our metabolism works best when the lymph fluid is slightly acidic while the blood is slightly alkaline. If the diet is deficient in minerals or cellular energy production is inefficient, we may produce too much lactic acid instead of oxidizing nutrients to carbon dioxide and water. Then the body may gradually become too acidic.

The hype surrounding ALKALINE WATER is nothing more than a fad that has been exposed and disproven. Alkaline water was originally promoted as a way of maintaining alkaline pH in the body, but it was simply bad science. In chemistry, “alkaline pH” is not the correct measure of the amount of neutralizing that is available.
