What does “78 minerals & trace elements” mean?
Samples of Quinton’s marine source contain up to 78 chemical elements. The count covers a wide range of concentrations. It does not mean all 78 are essential nutrients, or that a serving supplies your daily requirement for them.
Which elements are included?
The published marine composition information names sodium, chloride, magnesium, calcium and potassium, as well as manganese, copper, zinc, lithium and vanadium among the minor or trace constituents. Chloride is the ionic form of chlorine discussed in mineral nutrition. This is a selection, not the full profile.
How does this relate to bioterrain?
We use bioterrain to describe the internal environment in which cells live. Electrolytes help balance body water, move nutrients into cells and waste products out, and support normal muscle and nerve function. Quinton is one way to include marine minerals in a routine; overall diet and fluid intake remain part of the picture.
Has the nutrient content of food changed?
Researchers comparing USDA data for 43 garden crops from 1950 and 1999 found apparent declines in six nutrients, including calcium and iron, across the group. Seven others showed no statistically reliable change. The authors pointed to changes in crop varieties and yield as a possible explanation.
