Collection, cold microfiltration and preparation of the formula.
01 · Collection
Quinton’s seawater is collected in the Bay of Biscay, approximately 10 miles offshore and 20 meters below the surface. The ocean image here illustrates a bloom; it is not a photograph of a confirmed collection site.
02 · Transport and cold filtration
Following an initial filtration, the seawater is transported in refrigerated conditions to the laboratory. Quinton describes a further double cold-microfiltration step in a controlled clean-room environment.
03 · Preparation of the formula
Spring water is used to dilute the Isotonic formula. Hypertonic remains at the seawater concentration. This is the main distinction between the 0.9% and 3.3% oral products.
04 · Checks and packaging
Physical, chemical and biological checks are performed during production and packaging. Choose glass ampoules or portable sachets, then follow the directions on the product you purchase.
